Break The Silence Against Domestic Violence (BTS): The goal of BTS is to educate communities on the dangers of domestic violence, connect victims and survivors, and assist them in the transformation of their lives – by providing a personal development retreat, scholarships, financial empowerment, an advocate-run hotline, and our innovative awareness campaigns.

OUR MISSION: 1) To raise money for our chosen charity, Break The Silence Against Domestic Violence. 2) To bring awareness to the potential adventures, to both the recreational paddler and the serious expedition kayaker, of vast stretches of this section of the legendary Colorado River.

WHO BENEFITS: The volunteers of and programs provided by Break The Silence Against Domestic Violence. Please note that this expedition is entirely self-funded, so members of the Bow South team will not be asking for donations to help fund this trip. Donations to the following charities would be made directly via their donation webpage(s). Whether you make a flat donation of money or the amount is based on how many miles the team paddles is entirely up to you. If you decide to base your donation on miles paddled then it’s the honor system if you decide to pledge a 25 cents, $1, or even $10 a mile.

BTS is an IRS 501c3 designated public charity (filed as of 2012), and OUR TAX ID NUMBER IS 46-0720615.
